Class: Intro to Prop Design

For this project, I cut up a shoe book into two large pieces and one small piece for the middle. I wrapped the cover in canvas. I used mixed media paper for the binding process. Once the paper was sewn together, I glued the first and last pages to the inside of the cover. I added a layer of modeling paste to the outside of the cover, then I used a palette knife to add the texture. I used tow shades of brown to add dimension. I sculpted the mushrooms and tree out of air dry clay. I added them to the book and painted them. I then added faux moss to the bottom of the cover.
